“Roger-Maurice Grillon was a French painter and printmaker. Grillon trained as an artist with his father before entering the École des Beaux-Arts. He abandoned academic teaching, preferring to attend workshops and academies where the teaching was more independent, and where he met Matisse , Marquet , Linaret , Gublin , etc.. In 1926 , the Galerie Weil devoted an exhibition to his work. The Museums of Algiers , Angers , Albi , Carcassonne , Ceret , Fontenay-le-Comte , La Rochelle , Grenoble and Paris (National Museum of Modern Art) hold examples of his work.”
