Stanislavs Kreics (1909-1992) was a remarkable landscapes' and Marinas' painter working in a style of Latvian tonal painting. One of the most popular artists of his time, he worked in the oil medium, painting native landscape near the Baltic Sea. Kreics left a wide range of artistic heritage with a common theme to discover his love to homeland and its beauty. Over his life he held more than 20 solo exhibitions. Stanislav Kreics paintings are in Latvian museums, in the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, as well as numerous private collections in Japan, Italy, USA, Germany and elsewhere.
