He began formal art training at a remarkably young age, receiving a scholarship to the Queensland Art Gallery where he was taught by noted Queensland artist Vida Lahey, before continuing his studies at Brisbane Technical College and later at RMIT in Melbourne. Marsh’s work reflects the influence of Australian landscape traditions, particularly Walter Withers, while his association with Ian Fairweather on Bribie Island also became an important part of his artistic development. He held his first Melbourne exhibition in 1972 and went on to stage more than fifty solo exhibitions in Australia, Japan and the United Kingdom. His work is represented in public and private collections including the Australian War Memorial and Queensland collections.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Woodberry's Vintage Art","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50280328954113,"sku":null,"price":950.0,"currency_code":"AUD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0763\/7840\/7169\/files\/150663D7-B8FA-4433-B95B-F6125B744DBB.png?v=1788593181","url":"https:\/\/woodberrys-art.myshopify.com\/products\/j-711","provider":"Woodberry's Vintage Art","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
