1948 Collotype print after Pablo Picasso, Ceramic art, framed, mid century
After Pablo Picasso (1881–1973), Céramiques de Picasso – Visage Noir, 1948 — vintage oval shaped colour collotype reproduction of a Picasso ceramic, mounted on lithographically decorated paper and presented under glass in a substantial period timber frame.
A striking mid-century image centred on Picasso’s highly recognisable mask-like face motif, combining deep black, burnt orange and chalky white with the irregular, tactile character of his celebrated Vallauris ceramics.
