Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919) was a prominent French artist, a leading figure in the Impressionist movement, known for his vibrant depictions of light and color, particularly in his paintings of women and social scenes. Born in Limoges, he began his career as a porcelain painter before studying art in Paris and joining the Impressionist circle. Renoir's style evolved throughout his career, incorporating more classical elements later in life.”
