Genuine antique 1929 heliogravure print after an artwork by eminent French artist Odilon Redon. Subtle sepia-toned piece entitled “Sad Descent", from Redon's 1879 portfolio of ten lithographs titled In the Dream (Dans le rêve). The original image was one of Redon's famous "Noirs", a series of charcoal drawings and lithographs that explore themes of fantasy, the subconscious, and the bizarre. Framed with vintage gilded solid wood and custom double mount behind glass.
