Limited edition vintage 1970 lithographic print after Pablo Picasso’s 1964 portfolio of drawings entitled Le Gout du Bonheur (The Taste of Happiness). The portfolio is autobiographical, featuring self-portraits and caricatures of his friends. This lithograph was created in the studios of Guenther Dietz, under Picasso's direct supervision.
Printed on Arches rag paper using techniques that employed similar materials to the original drawings, such as grease crayon, lithographic tusche, lead pencil, and charcoal, it is the only edition of re-creations made from these previously unpublished drawings, making the portfolio a unique historical document. Framed with simple gilt wood as custom mount behind glass.
