Rare signed original etching by notable Scottish artist William Strang. Entitled “A Religious Procession at Furnes" (1898), also referred to as “Strang 445”. The illustration was produced for the book "Western Flanders". The artwork depicts a religious ceremonial parade, featuring figures carrying banners and lamps, with a choirboy at the centre. Framed with simple matte black coated solid wood with custom mount behind glass. Provenance on the reverse, with other examples held in collections such as the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and the British Museum.

William Strang (1859–1921) was a highly respected Scottish painter, printmaker, and portraitist born in Dumbarton. Trained under Alphonse Legros at the Slade School of Fine Art, he became a prolific etcher, creating over 750 prints and over 500 portraits of notable figures. Known for his realism, psychological intensity, and later, vibrant, often symbolic oil paintings, he was a key figure in British art, elected to the Royal Academy in 1921.
