1934 Antique Art Deco print, Rex Wood, after the linocut, framed vintage art

Authentic 1934 Rex Wood print after the artist's linocut entitled "Portrait of a Lady". A rarely offered print from the pages of an Australian art journal, printed in Geelong. Framed with simple solid wood with custom double mount behind glass. Excellent condition as shown.

Rex Wood was born at Laura, South Australia and studied at the South Australian School of Art under Mary Packer Harris. He produced many linocuts during the late 1920s and 1930s, exhibiting prints with the Society of Arts in Adelaide. In 1938 he left for Europe and studied art in London.
