Eleanor Healy-Wills – Song of the Kookaburra – Artist’s Proof Etching, c.1990s
An original artist’s proof copperplate etching by Australian artist Eleanor Healy-Wills (b. 1942), titled Song of the Kookaburra, circa 1990s, signed and titled in pencil beneath the image and inscribed “a/p etching”; the work depicts a beautifully observed kookaburra perched among native Australian foliage and flowering gum, rendered in earthy sepia, eucalyptus green and restrained touches of red. As an artist’s proof rather than a standard numbered edition, this example has additional collecting interest. It is professionally presented under a generous cream mount in a simple natural timber frame and is ready to hang.
