”Since 1985 Roslyn Kean has been preoccupied with printmaking traditions of Japan, conducting master classes in the technique in printmaking studios and universities throughout Australia. Currently director of The Stables Print Studio, Sydney where she shares her expertise in Woodblock techniques. Roslyn's works are complex multi block prints often involving up to 15 blocks layered with exacting registration. The work reflects nature and the experience of the silence of space. Minimalism and limited colour evoke a sereneness and contemplation of the landscape.”
