A extremely rare and unique depiction of an adorable water hen bird, published by German publisher Michael Seligman, who issued a nine volume compilation of the work of the Englishmen Mark Catesby (1683-1749) and George Edwards (1694-1773). Fascinating, large antiquarian piece in remarkable condition for its age. Framed with antique solid oak wood with carved gilt details, and custom mount behind glass.
