Rare original antique wood engraving print titled "Joan of Arc" by the renowned Australian artist Norman Lindsay. Created in the early 1920s, intended as the front piece for a lengthy poem by Hugh McCrae (never published in book form) the artwork appeared instead in an art journal of the period.

Lindsay was famous for his mythological themes, often exploring the interplay between the human and the divine or animalistic. 

Framed with a deep set vintage gilt solid wood frame behind glass.

Norman Lindsay (1879–1969) was a prolific and controversial Australian artist, author, and illustrator known for his immense creative output, including paintings, etchings, and sculptures. Famous for his detailed pen-and-ink drawings, "The Magic Pudding" children's book, and scandalous, sensual nudes, he was a dominant, often polarizing figure in Australian art for over 50 years.
